Research Project

The construction industry, a major contributor to carbon emissions and resource consumption, necessitates efficient design from the early planning stages. Optimal selection of flooring and framing systems significantly influences construction, affecting costs, schedules, and environmental impact. Various flooring systems and framing options have diverse effects, making the choice challenging for engineers. This Research aims to provide recommendations for optimal concrete flooring and framing systems in midrise buildings through a comparative analysis. The study will assess their impact on cost, time, design considerations, and carbon emissions, by employing a literature review, impact assessment, structural analysis, and data collection.
